Yacht-AIS
Standard
Yacht - AIS
Standard is the solution for those who want to see other
vessels with AIS on there PC screen.
This version
receives AIS-data from commercial ships, pleasure craft
and coast radio stations equipped with AIS and display these
data on your laptop or onboard PC. All equipped ships are
shown on a display similar to a radar screen (North Up or
Course Up) with adjustable range with your own vessel in
the middle. In small ranges, vessels are displayed with
their true outline.
Yacht-AIS Standard decodes AIS messages from commercial
SOLAS ships, pleasure craft, AIS Basestations and Aids to
Navigation (Messages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 18, 19, 21, 24A/B).
The following
information are available over AIS:
- MMSI
- Name
- Callsign
- Position
- Course over
ground
- Speed over
ground
- Heading
- Rate of Turn
- Type of Ship
- Navigational
Status
- Destination
/ ETA
For collision
avoidance purposes Yacht-AIS Standard calculates (together
with GPS data from own vessel):
- CPA (Closest
Point of Approach)
- tCPA (Time
to Closest Point of Approach)
- true Bearing
to target
- Distance to
target
Yacht-AIS Standard
allows the user to define alarms on CPA, tCPA, lost target
and guard range. To make collision avoidance more easy,
Yacht-AIS Professional can predict the situation at the
moment of the tCPA - so you can see where your avoiding
action will take you and where other vessels will be at
that time.
