AIS
CoastMaster Basestation
AIS CoastMaster
Basestation is the complete AIS solution for coast surveilling.
AIS CoastMaster
Basestation enables competend authorities like Coastguards
or Customs to keep an eye on the traffic along the coast
and well offshore. Long before a vessel arrives in a port,
all relevant ships data (name, callsign, MMSI, size of vessel,
type of vessel, draught, category of dangerous cargo, number
of persons on board, air draught etc.) will be known.
This makes AIS
CoastMaster Basestation a perfect tool for maritime
domain awareness (MDA). A comparison of AIS and radar images
will show which targets might qualify for further inquiries
and identification.
Additionally,
with AIS CoastMaster Basestation the VTS
officer can communicate with the vessel via AIS, for example
can he request data regarding dangerous cargo or the number
of persons on board. And of course he can send text messages
to the vessel, for example containing berthing or locking
information.
To make full
use of the capabilities of AIS and to ensure safe navigation
in the port area, even recommended approach waypoints, tidal
windows and meteorological information can be transmitted.
AIS CoastMaster
Basestation features an interface for AIS Class
A Transponders or AIS Base Stations via network (UDP/IP
or TCP/IP) and supports reception of all binary messages.
Feature list:
- Connect AIS
Class A Transponders or AIS Base Stations via network
- Receive and
display all AIS traffic in your port area on radar-like
screen
- Receive binary
messages and text messages from vessels in your area
- Send text
and safety messages to vessels in your area.
- Send information
on tidal windows
- Send list
of recommended waypoints for approach
- Send information
on closed fairways
- Broadcast
meteorological
information (optional external sensor)
- Forwarding
of AIS data to third party ECS possible
- On request
of competent authorities, we provide means to receive
adressed ship-ship messages for coastal surveillance
AIS CoastMaster
Basestation will be available soon. Please contact info@y-tronic.com
for further information.
